Hey guys I work as a pro drummer and for all of April I was out as my body was in agony and my right wrist and arm was numb and in pain
This weekend my right wrist and arm has started up again but I can't stop working again Mor I can't survive
How can I get around this? Shall I just play anyway regardless? Some people have suggested that stopping is not always great

Hi Martin
Have you tried wearing wrist braces? Since my wrist swell with the littlest chore they have made a difference. Since drumming is a lot of wrist work it may take trying several different ones till you find ones that don't interfear
EFT is also a suggestion, I'm not too sure if you have heard of "tapping" - this really does help to reduce pain levels (enough for you to get your job done!)
Do some research on EFT - perhaps you might find a EFT practitioner close by who will be able to assist you!

i would suggest trying hot or cold compresses to see if that would help bring down the pain a little bit and/or even trying pain creams, ask your local pharmacy, i used to be a session guitarist before i got too bad to be able to play anymore and i used to use compresses and medicated rubs, balms and creams, o and i used to do a hell of a lot of stretching and rubbing my hands and arms.
I wonder if acupuncture might help?
Defo thanks Daniel!
The only problem is that playing drums is how I earn my living and in April I was living off my savings but now it's gone!
