Does anyone else have trouble with pain and stiffness in their neck? Since the fibro I've had trouble with my shoulders and the back of my neck but now I'm having trouble with the muscles in the front of my neck too and it's causing huge lack of mobility issues. I can hardly turn my head or look down at a book or screen without causing a flare. I have to turn my whole body to face someone when they speak which is difficult (and annoying) when you're in a room full of people who are all talking… read more

Members connected deeply over neck pain and mobility challenges, with many sharing experiences of severe stiffness, muscle spasms, and difficulty turning their heads that made everyday activities like driving and conversation extremely difficult. Several members found significant relief through regular chiropractic care and massage therapy, with one member describing how consistent treatment over several months resolved a painful buffalo hump caused by muscle tension and scar tissue buildup. A recurring theme was the frustration of normal test results despite debilitating symptoms, leaving many feeling helpless about next steps while emphasizing the importance of pacing activities, using heat therapy, and trying antiinflammatory treatments to manage flares.

I also hate it when results come back and they say things are normal it's fibro so we just have to put up with it. I wud luv some of these dr's to live with the pain we endure and then see how they feel after a while I am sure they will say the same as us which is I can't keep living like this many of you would agree

My neck and upper back, shoulder blade area hurt and are always tight! I go to a Chrioprator to get therapy. And massage. It helps! And resting with a heating pad helps relax muscles.

@A MyFibroTeam Member, neck and upper back issues are common with fibro. It can just be because the muscles get tight and shorten and are hard to release and so very painful. I find massage with a good antiinflammatory cream or magnesium oil can be wry helpful. A good heating pad can help too. If you have spinal issues or inflammation, heat alternating with ice will help. Just don't leave either on too long. OTC anti inflammatories and maybe antispasmotic scan also be helpful
