Does anyone else have trouble with pain and stiffness in their neck? Since the fibro I've had trouble with my shoulders and the back of my neck but now I'm having trouble with the muscles in the front of my neck too and it's causing huge lack of mobility issues. I can hardly turn my head or look down at a book or screen without causing a flare. I have to turn my whole body to face someone when they speak which is difficult (and annoying) when you're in a room full of people who are all talking… read more

I also hate it when results come back and they say things are normal it's fibro so we just have to put up with it. I wud luv some of these dr's to live with the pain we endure and then see how they feel after a while I am sure they will say the same as us which is I can't keep living like this many of you would agree
My neck and upper back, shoulder blade area hurt and are always tight! I go to a Chrioprator to get therapy. And massage. It helps! And resting with a heating pad helps relax muscles.
Yes I had a huge bump in my neck..they called it a buffalo hump..I could not turn my head at all..!! I went to a chiropractor and he worked on it..for at least 8 weeks once or twice a week..he said " because I kept over doing it..I caused scar tissue to build up in that area..after he worked on it..it had all went away..!! I can turn my head now..my head felt so heavy felt like I was carrying a bowling ball on my head...The chiropractor really did his job and it worked.!! Hope this helps....!! This worked for me..hope it can work for you..!!
@A MyFibroTeam Member, neck and upper back issues are common with fibro. It can just be because the muscles get tight and shorten and are hard to release and so very painful. I find massage with a good antiinflammatory cream or magnesium oil can be wry helpful. A good heating pad can help too. If you have spinal issues or inflammation, heat alternating with ice will help. Just don't leave either on too long. OTC anti inflammatories and maybe antispasmotic scan also be helpful
It might pay to have another scan
