Members shared their experiences with sleep apnea diagnosis and CPAP machines in response to someone questioning whether their apnea was severe enough to treat, with the resounding message being that if a doctor recommends treatment, it's worth pursuing because untreated sleep apnea can worsen fibromyalgia symptoms and carry serious health risks. Several members described noticeable improvements in energy levels and mental clarity after starting CPAP therapy, though many acknowledged it takes time to adjust to the machine and that it doesn't eliminate all fibro-related pain or sleep disruption. A recurring theme was encouragement to stick with the treatment despite initial discomfort, with members sharing practical details about modern equipment options like nasal pillows, the importance of regular machine cleaning, and the reality that consistent use makes a meaningful difference even when sleep challenges persist.

If doctor is recommending it then you need it. Shouldn't mess around with sleep apnea. You will find it will help with your fibro fog and possibly your pain level!
