Skin Sensitivity
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

My skin is sensitive to the touch. It literally hurts to have my skin touched. Any advice? It's hard to deal with.

I get it too, and good grief if I have an itch, I feel like I could tear my skin off. I try to wear light clothes, loost elasticated waist and baggy t-shirt. Anything that's less likely to touch me!

All the time. I can't stand anything tight, rough or itchy on my skin. I buy clothes now by their softness. I don't have an answer for this, just wear what is comfortable and soft and it helps.

Not all the time but sometimes I can't even tolerate rain falling on my skin. It feels like knives. The sun sometimes hurts too if my skin is exposed. The dog can hurt me if he jumps on me etc...Doctor said that's allodynia. Thankfully for me this isn't an everyday thing.
