I'm not going to get SSDI but may get SSI if I do should I apply for the kids to get SSI too or not?
Someone told me that if you're disabled your kids could get SSI too
They do get it until 18...my husband has MS and is on it and he has received it for all three of our children until 18...we only have one left 16 so once he is gone it will discontinue
I know my grandson was eligible after his dad died and he has autismThe other 2 boys didn't.I would call the Social Security in your state. If your not disabled does your son have a disablement?
Go to your local social security office and they will help you. If you are disabled and child is under 18 with no criminal record they should qualify
If you are on disabltiy, your children when under 18 will also get something. I believe the amount will depend on the amount you receive. Call the SS office for details on applying.
