Members shared their experiences with the intense, sometimes bleeding itchiness that comes with fibromyalgia, describing it as happening all over the body or in specific areas like legs, chest, hands, and feet, often keeping them awake at night. Several members recommended practical remedies that have worked for them, including E45 itchy skin cream, coconut oil, Aveeno products, oatmeal baths, antihistamine tablets, ice packs or cool showers, and apple cider vinegar diluted with water applied after showering. A recurring theme was trial and error to find what works, avoiding triggers like chocolate and sugar, and the relief of knowing they are not alone in experiencing what one member called the Wild Itchies.

I used to get this all the time. My problem areas were my legs and my chest. I saw my Dr. and a dermatologist regarding this. Both just prescribed an steriod ointment. I stopped using all lotions and just use coconut oil after my bath or shower all over my body. I rarely get flare ups at all now :) My daughters only use coconut oil now too!

OMG, I itch a lot! Worse yet -- scratching makes it hurt. I've tried topical and oral Benadryl, oatmeal baths, Aveeno products. The best solution I've found is to use ice packs or take a cool shower. The cold numbs my skin and calms it down faster than anything else.

I use Aveeno Positively Ageless Skin Strengthening Cream plus I use Coconut oil off and on, I switch up depending on what scent I want that day to make me feel better. I am constantly scratching and break out in little hives or a hive here and there. We have very weird bodies with Fibro. Plus I have an Immune Deficiency that just perplexes me to no end.
