Members shared mixed experiences with Lyrica for fibromyalgia and chronic pain, with some finding it beneficial while others reported significant side effects including dramatic weight gain (30-50 pounds), severe drowsiness, swelling, and psychological issues, leading many to discontinue the medication. Several members offered practical cost-saving strategies, including asking doctors for the manufacturer's $25 co-pay coupon card (valid for one year), contacting the drug company directly for patient assistance programs based on income, and using discount cards as secondary insurance. A recurring theme was the importance of weighing individual responses against potential side effects, with members emphasizing that what works varies greatly from person to person and encouraging careful research and close monitoring when starting the medication.

I tried Lyrica and Savella.... almost all they have to offer. I was allergic to it and Savella both. My body started swelling up real bad so they said I was allergic to it.
I hope you have better luck. Some people have great results with the meds.

I would be careful about taking that kind of medication. I read something earlier that said there was a lot of side effects with it and can have long term consequences. Which I will tell you didn't sound good. You should go to the internet and type the drug name in and see what it says about it. They also said it didn't help a lot of people.
I find you have to go to the water and do Aquafit in warm water and exercise you have to force yourself. Also if you can get into a hot tub it helps you. Try to get a good sleep. It's all about getting your sleep.

You can contact the drug manufacturer, I would start their, or ask your PCP if they have a drug discount card. For Lyrics. The discount card would be used as a secondary card to go along with your regular insurance. Make sure the discount card has not expired.

I took it for a while but it caused me to swell more than I was doing before taking it. I did not find it helped that much. My doctor has given me Gralise Tabs 600mg. I take 4 tablets at dinner each day. This medicine really helps me with the Fibro. Taking the Gralise and the Duloxetine Hcl Dr. Caps 60 mg (2 daily) seems the right combination for the Fibro and depression. I also had osteoarthritis, Lymphdemia, I have a Pace Maker, an Instem for my Bladder, a Filter to catch blood clots, varicose veins, low acting thyroid, Diabetes, Restless Leg Syndrome, Anxiety, High Cholesterol, High Blood Pressure, Heart Rhythm Disorder, Atrial Fibulation, A Ruptured Disk and 2 Bulging Disk. I take 17 different medications each day, plus vitamins and a B-12 Shot every 2 weeks. Also highly allergic to ants so I keep an Epi-Pen with me all the time. I feel with everything that is wrong with me, I do pretty good most of the time. Hope this helps someone with my information. I pray alot to God to help me get through each day.
