I'm trying to stay away from certain foods that people say you shouldn't eat, ie read meat. What other foods both you and how?

Members shared widely varied experiences with food and fibromyalgia, with many finding relief by eliminating sugar, gluten, dairy, red meat, and artificial sweeteners like aspartame, while others saw no connection between diet and their symptoms and chose to eat everything in moderation. Several members described practical strategies including keeping food journals to track triggers, following anti-inflammatory or blood-type diets, taking supplements like magnesium and turmeric, and focusing on fresh fruits, vegetables, and clean eating when financially possible. A recurring theme was the tension between wanting to eat healthier and the real-world barriers of limited budgets, inability to stand long enough to cook, and the emotional toll of giving up yet another source of joy when so much has already been lost to chronic illness.

I have cut out wheat/gluten and sugar, I'm already a veggie so don't eat meat. It's been just over two weeks and at the moment I feel like a different person (I hope it lasts but will wait and see) I am also having fruit n veg smoothies and generally eating healthy and only drinking water. I'm taking magnesium, Vit D and B, turmeric and Co enzyme q10. This is my longest period without a migraine in 10 years and I have managed to go out and do bits and bobs every day this week. X

I follow a diet specific to my blood type. It's been helpful. And pretty easy just have a test to figure out your blood type and then google the diet for it. In addition to that I avoid gluten, soy, sugar, cows dairy, coffee and black tea, only green tea, and all alcohol except good red wines.

The big problem with bananas is getting belly fat and for diabetics blood sugars soar.My mom is diabetic and I read this but wasn;t sure. She's allowed one-half every 2 days.Magnesium is what solved my leg and feet cramps.

i haven't found any particular foods that seem to aggravate my fibro symptoms. I believe in eating in moderation! I have done some reading on following an anti inflammatory diet. I have no idea if this is relatable to fibro or not? everyone has a theory on diet & fibro. from what I can tell it is good to avoid sugar for sure, dairy & gluten. anything processed will have more chemicals & sugar which are not good for you. clean eating! making your food from scratch as much as possible & eating healthy (no processed foods or high sugar content) is the best just from a general healthy standpoint!!

Too much dairy flares me so i limit my intake. I'm also gluten/wheat free. Found that it lessens my inflammation massively. Sugar is another thing I limit which helps too.
I try and do fresh fruit n vege as much as possible. Used to go all organic but it costs so much more that I can't afford it.
