Anyone have any insights or treatments that work for them?
New symptoms for me during this last exacerbation.
Have sores alot... Yes use salt water or if want it gone quickly wet my finger place in salt, and apply directly to sore... Hurts like we'll l think you get it... But does go away quickly after that...
Dry mouth from meds are awful. I keep gum in my car all the time.
I get ulcers really bad. I use biotene mouth spray and the wash. Saltwater gargle helps too. I read that curcumin (derived from turmeric) also helps. Supposedly you can sprinkle it on most foods/dishes you already eat and won't taste a difference. I'm going to add that to my regimen this week...I'll let you know.
Happy Birthday FibroGal65!!
To answer your question, f the sores are in your mouth, salt water is the easiest and least expensive treatment. My dentist recommended it. For the TMJ, my massage therapist recommended gently massaging across the back of the head about level with the earlobe. Also massaging gently around the joint where it hinges with the skull. Maybe try using heat and ice alternating if you can handle it or just a bit of heat to that area. Trying magnesium oil or Magnesium Gel Cream may also help loosen it. If it's really painful, an NSAID or muscle relaxer should also help some
Thanks everyone for your awesome responses. As of today, it is gone. I believe it may have been a jammed up muscle in my neck SCM to be exact. Spent a wee bit of time massaging and then a hot shower and the muscle released and the saliva gates are flowing once again. Definitely, will put your ideas on file. Thanks again.
