Members connected over the question of what types of pain people with fibromyalgia experience, sharing that pins and needles, numbness, dead arm sensations, joint pain, and extreme fatigue are all common symptoms that many live with daily. Several members offered practical advice, including using gabapentin for nerve pain and numbness, getting evaluated for overlapping conditions like ME/CFS or MS when symptoms worsen or don't respond to treatment, and seeing specialists to rule out physical causes like pinched nerves. A recurring theme was the unpredictable and shifting nature of fibromyalgia pain, with members describing how different body parts hurt on different days, especially at night, and expressing gratitude for the days that are a little better than others.

Mine feels like pain at the end of the muscle, where it connects to the tendon. I have some age-related osteoarthritis in some joints and the muscle pain is much more painful.

All of the above. It comes and goes randomly and I have had symptoms ( at all trigger points as well as individual points) last for days before I have had relief.

I hope you find out if there's anything directly physical causing some impingement. Sometimes our muscles are inflamed and tight, which causes the nerves between to become 'pinched' causing numbness, pain, etc. I get that along with osteoarthritis and the gabapentin helps me a lot. All the best. I hope it works well for you๐Ÿ’—
