I've been getting moments of vertigo lately. It comes out of the blue. Lasts 10 secs or so. Boy does the room spin! The only thing I can do is hold my head and hope it goes away quickly. I am assuming it is fibro-related.

Members shared strategies for managing vertigo episodes that strike suddenly and last just seconds to days, with many attributing the dizziness to fibromyalgia while others pointed to inner ear fluid, medications like Lyrica or Trazodone, or blood pressure drops. Several members found relief through the Epley Maneuver (a gentle head repositioning technique that can be learned from a therapist or online), B12 injections, meclizine, or simply holding still until the spell passes. A recurring theme was the importance of ruling out treatable causes like ear infections with an ENT exam, moving slowly to avoid triggering episodes, and giving yourself grace when vertigo disrupts daily life or work.

The Eply Maneuver can help you. My sis has Vertigo big time. She and hubby went to doc where Eply was done. Her hubby now does it for her at their home. It's gentle and provides quick relief. My Best!

Sure, I get plenty of dizziness, light-headedness, nausea, uncoordination, etc. Etc.. out of nowhere. I believe it is related to the Fibro also... but sometimes it can be related to your meds too. Some of them warn of standing up too quickly... and if you haven' eaten or are dehydrated, maybe that is a possible culprit also. But it is not an uncommon symptom.
I hope you figure out a way to reduce those moments...talk with your doctor, research it online.

That happens to too. I hang onto something and ride it out!๐Ÿ˜‰ It only lasts long enough to make me pause a few seconds.

Vertigo is connected to fibro. I have talked to my doctor about it and he says that fibro basically messes up everything and even your ears. It's like having a bad ear infection which can make you dizzy. I don't know what to do with it. I'm use to bumping into walls and walking sideways. LOL I don't get up fast. Ask your doctor, he might have some ideas as to what you can do. Gentle hugs

I always have to go to the doc. He gives me a B12 injection and an injection to help dry up fluid in my inner ear which is what causes mine. Due to no balance left on my left side the littlest bit of fluid freaks my brain out.
