I've had my best results from a Tempurpedic memory foam pillow. Good support, not too soft or too hard. I have a bulging disc between C5 and C6 that gives me trouble and triggers headaches if I don't have good neck support when I am sleeping.
I've purchased and tried numerous pillows. I finally bought "My pillows". The best deal I found was on QVC because they give you two and you can choose the firmness, even mixing and matching. Plus it's a money back guarantee. I will not be sending them back though because they are the best pillow I've tried yet, which has me sleeping with less interruptions. My husband even likes them, but prefers to use two. It's nice that you can puff them back up after sleeping. Also nice that you can machine wash. Pay attention to the chart on how you should order or which is best suited for you.
I really think you might want to go to Bed Bath Beyond and explore what they have. I am a side sleeper, and I always have been. I finally splurged and bought one that is for side sleepers. I sleep much better now.
My Pillow has been sanctioned for false advertising. They were making medical claims that their product helped a lot of pain conditions, when they had no proof. Caveat emptor.
I also had horrible neck pain. I bought new pillows it helped some but what really helped was a chiropractor. I was a non believer and thought they were quacks, but my neck is so much better. Do your research for a good one...there still are a lot of quack chiropractors
