Members enthusiastically endorsed body pillows as essential tools for managing rheumatoid arthritis pain and stiffness, with many emphasizing the need for soft, pliable pillows long enough to wrap arms and legs around for proper support in multiple sleeping positions. Several members shared where they purchased theirs, including Sam's Club, Bed Bath & Beyond, and maternity sections at baby stores, and highlighted the importance of touching and feeling pillows in person to find the right softness and flexibility. A recurring theme was that while body pillows won't eliminate pain entirely, they significantly improve sleep quality by providing warmth, reducing stiffness, and allowing for more comfortable positioning throughout the night.

I've had a body pillow so long I struggle sleeping without it on vacations and have to steal the extra pillows from my boyfriend to do my best to create a makeshift body pillow. Haha! I find its so incredibly helpful but I agree it needs to be soft and pliable. It gives me the ability to sleep in different positions i normally couldn't and that's helpful when you're stiff and sore. It also helps keep me warm which is great for the stiffness. I take my time going to a store that has ones i can touch and feel until I find one I like. For me a body pillow is a must! (Oh and mine is as long as me also, need to be able to wrap arms and legs around it) :)

They're great ! Make sure you get one that is soft enough so your body can 'melt' into the position you want. The first one I bought was so stiff I ended up having it upholstered and made into a headboard !!! Good luck and hope the pillow helps 🌹

I use a body pillow. It is nearly as long as me. I used a really nice pillowcase as well. The pillow is very soft and pliable.
