Do anyone take pain meds? And also what kind and do they work good? I take Cymbolta but sometimes the pain is so crazy I don't think it works all the time.

I have tried quite a few. Cymbals a is an antidepressant but also is used for pain as is elavil. I now use Cymbalta 60 mugs in the morning and lyrica 225 mg twice daily and elavil at bedtime. The combination of cymbals a and lyrica help with neuropathic pain but for me does nothing for overall pain and sore spots. I have been trying anything and everything for over 40 years, still trying 😣
I found the only thing cymbalta did for me was packed on 85lb so please be careful and watch your weight. My Dr's started me out on Gabapentain then changed me to the cymbalta, then added Lyrica onto that, and I was dealing with the depression of finding out I had fibromyalgia and going to suffer in chronic pain. So for all of you who are newly diagnosed PLEAESE keep a close eye on your weight. Due to my weigh gain I developed diabetes my AI-C was 7.1 when my Dr caught it and what did the do, more pills, but I refused them and lost 70lbs. So now I only take the Lyrica along with Prayer and my pain medication I'm able to function.
Momalina be careful doing that because I think you have to taper off of that don't you? Be safe with these meds
I thank all of you for answering my question. Iam going to talk to my doc next Friday. This week the pain has been really bad. I need some relief. Guy I know u understand when I say this, I'm sick and tired of pain! Not being able to sleep! I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired!!!!
I take tramadol 300mg ER 1 time a day, 600mg of Gabapentin 3x a day, Amitriptyline 250mg at bedtime, Tylenol 3.PRN, diazepam. 5mg PRN, Zolpidem ER at bedtime, Buspar 10mg 2 tablets twice a day, Orphenadrine 100mg ER 1 tablet twice a day. I take eye vitamins for beginning macular degeneration. 😮 seeing it written out like that looks aweful. I still struggle pain, fatigue and fog.
