Members discussing stiffness and numbness in hands and legs shared a range of overlapping symptoms, including persistent aching, swelling in feet and knees, difficulty gripping objects, and troubling numbness that sometimes requires shaking hands to restore blood flow. Several members found relief through Gabapentin for nerve pain, nerve conduction tests to rule out carpal tunnel or identify the source of nerve damage, and reducing repetitive activities like computer work. A recurring theme was the fear and frustration of losing hand strength and becoming a danger to oneself in daily tasks, alongside the challenge of distinguishing fibromyalgia symptoms from other conditions like rheumatoid arthritis or spinal issues.

My hands are really painful. I have no strength in my wrists. My fingers go totally numb and I have to shake my hands to get blood flow again. I'm booked for a Nerve Conducted Test on 26th April in Hamilton. I have Carpal tunnel as well. They need to find from where the nerve damage starts, coming from my shoulders or elbows. I'm dropping everything. I'm becoming a hazard in the kitchen. Hope you get this sorted. Will be in contact again after my tests. 🤗. Strongs 💪

I have been experiencing stiffness for s long time, but my hands aren't as bad as my neck and elbows. My lower back is bad also, but I'm not sure if it's from a spinal deformity or the fibro. When I was first diagnosed, I had terrible hand and finger pain and stiffness, but it's much better now that I'm no longer working on a computer all day. Don't know if my experience helps, but it is good to share and compare💓
