Vitamin D Levels
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Do any of you have vitamin d levels that are low? Do you notice if you do have low levels and take supplements that your fibromyalgia gets better?

I take 2,000 IU's in the spring and summer and 4,000 in fall and winter. I really take it for seasonal affective disorder but I find it helps with the fibro too.

Mine was very low, diagnosed in February. Was taking 5000 units a day with a 10000 units once a week. Levels went up slowly. Weather got nice, went outdoors everyday (nice tan now lol) to get my vit. D naturally for 3 weeks. Got retested, levels have plummeted, so back to supplements.

Hi my friend takes a big dose of vit d for MS, so it must have some positive impact on pain and neurological complaints....interesting one!
I have very low vit d, so take supplements, doctor recommends it, but consultant not bothered, doesn't seem to think it makes any difference :)

Sounds like me. I think I'll always be on supplements. I just found out also my b12 and b6 are low. B6 is rare and I can't figure out that one
