Members overwhelmingly confirmed that neck and back problems are a common struggle, with many describing degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, herniated discs, and chronic pain radiating into shoulders, hips, and legs. Several members shared their treatment experiences, including spinal surgeries, physical therapy, muscle relaxers like Zanaflex and gabapentin, TENS units, Voltaren Gel, and aquarobics, with mixed results and ongoing pain management challenges. A recurring theme was the belief that spinal issues may be deeply connected to fibromyalgia itself, with many attributing their symptoms to past injuries or structural problems in the spine.

I also have degenerative disc disease in the lower back and 1 year ago a disc (L5) was removed. There is talk about a Spinal fusion now. I just started to work 1/2 day only and hope it will help me to better my situation.
