Members responded to a question about shaking hands and legs by confirming that tremors and muscle spasms are common experiences in the fibromyalgia community, with several noting that medications like Lyrica may worsen these symptoms. Many community members shared their personal struggles, including difficulty holding cups or glasses, coordination issues that interfere with activities like drawing, and nighttime muscle spasms strong enough to disrupt sleep. A recurring theme was uncertainty about whether these symptoms are fibromyalgia-related or medication side effects, with members encouraging each other to discuss concerns with their doctors while acknowledging the hesitation to add more medications to already complex treatment regimens.

Losing anything is an awful thing. I get seizures as part of my health issues & obviously I've had my driving license revoked. I get no signs or signals that I'm going to get one. My last one was a few weeks ago. I live on my own so it's pretty risky. With the last one I had, one minute I was sat on my sofa, the next I wake up on the floor in my bedroom.
I was a bit sore in places as I'd obviously just collapsed, I lost about 15-20 minutes. I felt I had a duty of care not just for myself but for others so the next day I informed my GP. I know this will start my 12 month driving ban all over again but sometimes you have to think of others.
I'm waiting at the moment to either have my flat fitted with an emergency call system or to be offered a flat/apartment in a warden controlled complex.
