Members shared mixed experiences with Lyrica for pain management, with some finding relief from migraines, nerve pain, and fibromyalgia symptoms, while many others reported serious side effects that forced them to discontinue the medication. Several members described troubling reactions including vivid dreams, vision problems requiring glasses, significant weight gain (up to 50 pounds), loss of leg control, photophobia, and difficult withdrawal symptoms that required months of tapering. A recurring theme was the trial-and-error nature of finding the right medication, with some members switching to Gabapentin or capsaicin cream as alternatives, while others emphasized the importance of weighing potential benefits against harsh side effects and listening to your body's response.

I took Lyrica for 10 years and it managed my chronic migraine and Allodynia really well until it caused me to have photophobia as a side effect! It's a very addictive drug and I had to taper off it over the course of a few months and the withdrawal is terrible!

I take Gabapentin. Lyrica gave me double vision, but Gaba sometime does too, but It helps me sleep and gives me at least 4 hours at a time.

Lyrica never touched my pain. I know everyone is different, but it did nothing for me.
