Im not afraid to say that I have used it for years, somedays it helps and some it dosent, it does help with the anxiety and the depression and yes it helps some with the pain too, I find I can think better after I have smoked it , I am all for legalization and have even considered moving out west .
In my previous post, I was more referring to recreational users. If it has pain killing properties for some people and it is monitored by Dr.s, I really do not see a problem with it, but it is a personal choice. The fact that it is natural though, I believe has some believing there are no side effects and this is not true. There are many natural products that cause side effects. Health stores are full of them! But I do know that it can be addictive from personal experience. Antidepressants are not thought of as addictive either. I believe our bodies become dependent on anything we take long term. Throw in an addictive personality and the two don't mix!
Sorry, but you have been misinformed. Marijuana can be physically addictive. It is fat soluable, not water soluable and builds up in your system. In brain scans they can see a layer of fat build up in daily longtime users to to the THC. Studies are linking adolescent pot use to the onset of Schitzophrenia. My daughter was admitted to the psych ward from marijuana induced psychosis. Granted, she was buying it off the street so God knows what else was in it. Perhaps legalizing it would at least allow the government to regulate it. The biological father of my daughter would choose to by marijuana over diapers. I left him very quickly after realizing he had a problem. That was 25 years ago. He has been homeless, in a paranoid state for the last couple of years (so I have heard, I did not stay in contact as he was abusive). There are a lot of pro-pot websites and studies, I'm sure of it. And some people may not get addicted. But some do, and there is evidence of it, I have witnessed it. I have been involved with our community addiction facility and know that a lot of teens are going to rehab soley for marijuana use. Ever run into a heavy pot user from highschool? You know, the ones that kept using while everyone else moved on and went to post secondary etc.? 🎵 They were gonna be successful, but then they got high!
Everyone has to what is best for them selves, but no l would not take it because of the effect it has had on my son over the last 16 years. I know the dose would be managed l can think of loads of reasons to try it but the heartbreak of loosing your son to it and seeing what it has done to him no sorry just couldnt do it x
The only trouble with trying marijuana is that depending on what other drugs you are already on the effects are always going to be different.
And of course the strength of the substance you are eating/ smoking,
I've known it to work in many ways for many people to many levels so all I suggest if you want to know if it's going to be of any help to you is to give it a go. Just a little in a brownie will be the best way to go first as you can stop munching and no harm done to your lungs in the search for pain relief xx
Good luck xx
