Members connected over the confusing experience of feeling intensely hot without a fever, with many describing temperature dysregulation as a common fibromyalgia symptom that can swing between extreme heat and sudden chills. Several members shared strategies that have helped them manage these episodes, including using personal fans, keeping bedrooms cool, taking medications like Lyrica or Prozac, and reading resources like Understanding Fibromyalgia to better understand symptoms like fibro fog and temperature sensitivity. A recurring theme was the relief of discovering they were not alone in these strange sensations, with some attributing flashes to medication side effects and others pointing to related conditions like POTS that affect circulation and heart rate when changing positions.

Oh yes! Denae the sensitivity to temp is really all part of the deal. I personally run cold most the time, but atleast a couple times week! You are sooo not alone.

Many hugs, Dori

I have had the hot flashes from fibro also. I was on Prozac for hot flashes after I had a hysterectomy. It helped me a lot when the hot flashes became unbearable.
