I get this fairly new pain on my lower left back/upper buttock area. It kinda feels like a burning sensation, like the clothes are irritating it but when I remove the clothing I still have the pain. Could it be nerve pain? My original pain started in my upper back. It feels like the spine and muscles needs super extended. If the pain persists, which most of the time it does, it gets very severe and I start to have this numbness/tingling feeling. Dont know. But I cant help myself if I cant figure… read more

Members connected over the challenging symptoms of nerve pain, with many describing burning sensations, tingling, and skin sensitivity that can radiate from the back to the buttocks, hips, and limbs, often linked to disc problems or overactive nerves. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped them find relief, including turmeric supplements (around 750-1000mg daily) for natural anti-inflammatory benefits, heat therapy such as warm baths or heated clothing, and medications like Baclofen, Gabapentin, or Topamax prescribed by pain specialists or neurologists. A recurring theme was the importance of getting imaging like MRIs to identify underlying causes, seeking specialized care from neurologists, and exploring gentler natural options before turning to prescription medications that can be harder on the body.

Topamax, Gabapentin, etc are what they prescribe for these things. Check into the Tumeric first though. Epilepsy drugs vs an Indian spice....if it works it is much easier on your kidneys

Well from my experience I have lower back pain which in turn after an MRI found that I had a bulging disc in the spine. Which after paying closer attention to the pain in buttocks, hips and lower would increase if my back were acting up. My doctor told me that with having back pains often times it will cause inflammation to the lower half of your buddy then in turn causes the skin irritations and a burning sensation through out the bone and affected area. Until surgery takes place, any kind of heat usually helps.. Whether it be throwing clothes in the dryer and then putting them on or soaking in a steamy bath. But alas they are just quick fixes but any relief is good relief.

I often have this 3rd degree sort of burning pain in my arms and hands. It was worse but I started taking Tumeric supplements which have made a huge difference. It is an Indian spice with anti-inflamatory effects. About 750-1000mg a day research recommends. You can get it on Amazon. Holler if you want more info.
