Have tried a lot of alternative and traditional treatments with little relief. Fibro has gotten worse since I started menopause. Just looking for any suggestions.

Members shared mixed experiences with myofascial release and related therapies for fibromyalgia, with some finding relief through foam rollers, massage, acupuncture, and myofascial injections, while others cautioned that treatments that are too deep or intense can worsen pain rather than help. Several members emphasized the importance of finding the right practitioner who understands fibromyalgia and can adjust pressure appropriately, noting that what works for one person may not work for another. A recurring theme was the hesitation to invest money in new treatments after so many unsuccessful attempts, balanced by encouragement to proceed carefully and listen to your body's response.

I did myofascial release therapy several years ago and found it helped me. I think it's all about finding the right practitioner. Mine was excellent--knowledgeable and I was able to relax completely. I will be starting it again at a new facility near my new home. Hopefully I will find similar relief with a different person and several years later. Lots can change!
