So I got into a situation today where someone asked me why I'm not working. I explained that I have post lymes, bad knees, and fibromyalgia
The very next thing he said n he said not to sound rude but I don't really believe the fibromyalgia thing. I think it's something people use to not have to work.

I believe that most of us here bristle when it happens to us, so we Totally understand!! My suggested is the same, and also when you do get someone who finally had your back, it's somewhat strange. I believe that my husband knows I am in pain on a daily basis, but sometimes he can make comments that hurt my feelings or piss me off.
I've said this to a man that accused me of faking the pain, and not being able to work - "well it wouldn't do me any good to explain the pain of childbirth to u either, but if u like I could demonstrate by putting your family jewels in a vice, and see how well u can function?"
Needless to say he almost fainted, but he never gave me crap again!!
What a cheeky Fecker!! I think I'd have had to say 'That's very interesting. But you know, opinions are like arseholes, everybody has one and nobody wants yours' - I do apologise for the rudeness of this post but I got a bit cross reading this. How rude were they to you! xx
Fu sorry but I get sick of that tell them try having flu 24/7 for months on end!!
You might want to check to see if there is a fibromyalgia support group in your area. Some hospitals run them. That's where I met some of my best friends. It helps that we all know what the others are going through.
Well I will gladly talk anytime you would like
