So today I've developed a new symptom for me anyways, my leg knee ankle and foot are so painful, it's like my bones and joints are throbing, is this normal for fibro as my pain is mainly my ribs n wrists and hands, anyone got any tips how to sooth it pain meds ain't touching it x
Nope I've not injured it.
Thanks for the tips xx
Try drinking Tonic Water before bed. If you don't like the taste add a drop of cordial to it. I also found increasing my magnesium helped.
Along with pains in hands and wrists, I often get pains in my ankles and feet a lot, it really affects the way you walk if you can even do that. For me the pain is a real 'deep' throbbing continuous ache rather than a sharp wincing pain; does that make sense? Resting them & elevating them as much as possible helped the most, as for me pain relief didn't touch it either. Hopefully it should pass as I don't have it so bad anymore, but before Christmas it went on for weeks (sorry) and made me cry a lot. Fingers crossed it eases for you @A MyFibroTeam Member - perhaps a foot soak in Epsom salts (I don't know if this works) special insoles for shoes; this helped me a bit and rest! Not easy with a busy family xxx
Painful legs has been my primary symptom. My legs were throbbing and it get like my shin bones were aching. I also have pain and stiffness behind my knees- makes me walk like an old man. Today my ankles are throbbing. Both legs equally always. Magnesium calcium helps. And I'm taking vitamin D. I will be doing a blood test for vitamin B and D levels as low levels can cause this kind of pain too.
Thank you, yeah sounds the same, thanks for the tip, I can walk ok but I prefer to not bear weight on it xx
