Eliminating dairy
I heard cutting sugar and caffeine helps. Have stopped caffeine but struggle giving up sugar.
Have you tried an elimination diet? Look up "elimination diet" and "whole 30" I'm currently doing an elimination diet to see what causes me GI and fibro issues amongst other things. I already know that Gluten and Dairy impact me significantly along with my pain. It's work ashot.
I have cut out a lot of dairy & use the lactate free milk. I have also reduced the amount of foods that contain Gluten.
I have not had any success cutting anything out of my diet for any long period of time... I always miss my favorite foods and end up going back - what I notice really affects my body as far as my PAIN is SUGAR and fatty, fried foods - I have cut out all energy drinks, sodas and tried to REALLY limit my sugar intake and I notice the less sugar I have the less pain....
ALSO I was a smoker and I have not had a cigarette in 7 days; I am hoping that AFTER my body goes through the nicotine withdrawls I will also notice a decrease in my pain... right now it is very hard for me to tell what is causing my extreme pain because I just detoxed off of some hard core drugs....
I also tried eliminating all 'nightshade vegetables' from my diet to see if that helped my stomach issues and now I eat mostly fresh fruit and fresh veggies and I notice that I am able to eat more and not feel totally sick when I stick to those...
Meet the Nightshade (Solanaceae) Family:
Tomatoes.
Eggplant.
Potatoes.
Goji Berries.
Tobacco.
Peppers (bell peppers, chili peppers, paprika, tamales, tomatillos, pimentos, cayenne, etc)
I can't eat gluten or lactose but was eating lactose free. I only eat small amounts of lactose free things now and have moved to soya and almond for milks and yogurts. I have noticed a reduction in fibro symptoms since I started cutting back on the dairy.
