go to your local Wal-Mart and buy Smooth Move tea. It is an herbal laxative tea. You can take it every day. It takes about 6 hours to work, but it works on anyone.

Ground flax seed in yogurt works well. I have it in morning 2 tablespoons in yogurt cup.
There is also flaxseed capsale

I've been taking a product called Align for years. It's a probiotic that has made all the difference for me.

My daughter has been chronically constipated her whole life. Even those bottles of laxatives that are guaranteed to flush the system was a joke ( metamusil and docusate and miralax were all useless too). She drinks tooonnnss of water and fiber is not an issue in her diet. You know what we discovered ( by accident because well you know how some docs can be)? Kale! Seriously! If she has kale in her diet at least 4 times a week ( and thankfully she loves it) she poops like a person and not a cob brick making factory. Yes because of her slow g.I. track and her liking to feel full ( she is autistic) she used to be so super constipated no matter what we tried ( and docs were no help). What came out of her was unnatural and was probably painful ( she never complained or cried though, her nerves and how she processes sensations are different). Since adding ( usually raw) kale to her diet we have na seen "death bricks" "cob house materials" or the "omh did you just poop out an entire arm???!!!'.
Sorry if this was TMI . I just wanted you to understand the difference Kale made for her chronic constipation. I hope this helped ( and did na gross anyone out too much).
