Members overwhelmingly confirmed experiencing severely dry, cracked, and sometimes bleeding lips, with many attributing it to medication side effects, mouth breathing during pain flares, or cold weather. Several members shared their go-to remedies, including Vaseline applied before bed, Carmex, Burt's Bees, coconut oil, and keeping chapstick or lip balm on hand at all times. A recurring theme was the importance of drinking plenty of water throughout the day to maintain moisture from the inside out.

Lots and lots of water, every time you go to the toilet get a drink of water, that way you get used to it and it becomes second nature

@A MyFibroTeam Member...I agree with @A MyFibroTeam Member that 1 of the causes of my constant dry lips is that I tend to breathe through my mouth if I'm having a particularly bad pain day...but I also have chronic dry mouth (and skin) due to medication side effects and well dry mouth also equates to dry lips. I just make sure that I have lipstick/lip gloss/Vaseline EVERYWHERE I go! Plus I drink a TON of water everyday which seems to help my skin.
