Does anybody else get sinus problems regularly ?? I had a severe infection a few months back resulting in me being hospitalised and its triggered off asthma as well which I haven't had for years , since all this episode I suffer really bad with my sinuses, I use a nasal spray twice a day which does give relief until it starts wearing off again , I didn't know whether this is fibro related or through something else ?

I also have sinus problems but I don't believe it has anything to do with fibro. Sometimes I take a sinus med over the counter. Tylenol puts out a good one and it doesn't interfere with my other Meds. I find cold lozenges help because of menthol or eucalyptus in them. My favorites are fisherman's friend I hold a lozenge to the roof of my mouth and it often relieves the sinus pressure.

My sinus infections are usually related to allergies or I'll get one with a cold. I have to use the nasal sprays sparingly or my nasal passages dry out and I get nose bleeds. It's a delicate balance. I use a saline spray on a regular basis to wash out the allegins and only use the nasal sprays when I have a lot of nasal pressure.

@A MyFibroTeam Member, Today at a Fibro. meeting, someone asked for a raise of hands for anyone with Fibro. who also has sinus problems. At least 90% of people raised their hand. Many nights, I use a saline solution to unstop my sinuses, **blowing as much junk out as I can. It DOES clear the sinus passages.
I may also take a very small, red tablet called Major (non-drowsy) *Sudo Gest nasal decongestant (Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride 30Mg.). This type of pill doesn't completely dry up my sinuses. It also helps in relieving the pain and blockage, enabling me to breathe when trying to sleep. I just searched and found some information for you. This is just one:
Is that symptom Fibromyalgia or Sinusitis? | Fibromyalgia ...

**If thinking that you have a bad infection, you may want to get this checked out. Today, one Lady suggested to search around for more than one doctor's opinion before allowing any surgery to be done in this area.
I hope it helps. Amy, you are not alone on this. I hope you feel better soon.
