Has anyone had any success with treatment of the fatigue from fibro? The fatigue bothers me more than the pain. I am so tired of not being able to wake up all the way, and be groggy and sleepy all day

The fatigue really knocks me down too Mindy. I'm not selling anything, but the book From Fatigue to Fantastic' by J Teitelbaum has lots of options, many of them natural, to help with the fatigue. D-ribose, Co-q-10, B12, low cortisol (poor adrenal function) , vitamin D, magnesium and iron can also be culprits!. L Carnitine has been helpful for some. If you haven't you might want to get your thyroid function checked, as it's common for it to not be working well with fibro. Switching your diet up to add a little more protein, or just get rid of the junk - sugar and caffeine, and gluten for some people.
I've tried vit c & B12 helps but as usual I get immune to things & it seems to be wearing off :) x
I had a Epstein Barr test done .which we all have ( kissing virus) the Epstein Barr Virus is the virus that gives you Mononucleosis which cause major fatigue. We can all have Epstein Barr Virus.. but the ( titers) are low.in healthy people....which means their r immune system can keep it under control...but if our immune system is weak..the EBV becomes active..then it causes major fatigue..I had it tested every year my Titer numbers were the same every year.( High)
..which means its chronic Epstein Barr..I think its worth getting tested..so you will know what may be causing your extreme fatigue.I try and use everything that builds the immune..and it helps sometimes I can feel it..!! But just having Fibro wipes us out..it takes a lot of energy dealing with pain all day..Hugs and Much Love to everyone..♥ Just like the chicken pox virus..it stays dormant in our system..but when the immune becomes weak..the chicken pox virus becomes active ( Shingles)...so we have to keep our immune up..because for the normal healthy people their immune suppresses the viruses.. http://www.healthcentral.com/encyclopedia/hc/ep...

Yes I suffer with fatigue constantly but I'm not willing to give in. I rest whenever I can and try and keep my sense of humour up and I try and remember there's always someone worse off than me.
