Hi hun I got completely overlooked for fibro but got low rate for my mental health after mandatory reconsideration. I have asked my disability advisor what to do next so I'll say what she says should have an answer this week

I think you'll find your condition is not in dispute , evidence of having conditions is not enough it has to be evidence that you can't complete the 12 activities , it's these that Pips all about :)

OK disability solutions rang and gave me a definitive not to challenge mine as I'd primarily applied for my mental health and fibro came within the claim but later. I was advised at every appeal, mandatory review or tribunal the whole case and even though I've been made an award it will be reassessed and as with all things if reassessed I do run the risk of it not being reawarded. please don't rely on this and seek your own advice but on this basis as I'm still incredibly unwell and not up to the fight I'm taking what I have for now and will reconsider applying again at the end of the year once I have full colorectal surgery evidence and Fibromyalgia medical evidence. xx

I was also awarded low rate care and no points at all for mobility, all the forms and the assessment was a complete waste of time, the reasons that came back was fiction, even mentioned planning a journey which was not mentioned at all during my assessment, I have requested a review, now just a waiting game... I thought I would have qualified for the mobility side higher than the care... I am unable to find any organisation that can help me... fingers crossed.

@elsabel you've had the same lip service treatment I got first time around. you're assessed whether you can physically put it in your mouth and swallow it unaided - did you have a witness at your assessment who can sign off a statement backing you up uou told them this? My first letter was an absolute work of fiction. My carer and I compiled an 8 page complaint about how the assessment was handled and what they had witnessed vs what was recorded. I won at mandatory review but was 1 point off higher rate and they have STILL completely ignored fibro and my bowel bleeds that limit my mobility and cause excruciating pain. so I got nothing for mobility. I'm waiting though to see what the disability advisor says as if I get payments stopped whilst it appeals it will be a disaster for me - so I need to know all the possible outcomes. I may have to reapply just for fibro and my other illness in a few months when there's more medical evidence. good luck.
