I've been to two restorative yoga classes this month and felt amazing afternoon. it is very gentle yoga combined with meditation. Not much exercises but very relaxing. It supposed to help restore the nervous system.
@A MyFibroTeam Member I was worried about the balance issue too but my class is all done in the laying down position with a blanket on, and eye covers scented like lavender for extra relaxation!!
@A MyFibroTeam Member my therapist was telling me how the class she's in,the instructor will place a light blanket on her while shes in a pose...her description sounded so relaxing & inviting :)
I do yoga a little bit everyday. It helps with everything. I've found that clean eating and any gentle exercises compliment and encourage each other for me.
I try to do Tai Chi a couple of times a week. I actually have a couple of DVD's so I don't have to leave the house. I do a heartpath meditation daily after a soaking Epson Salt bath. Once I started dealing with the chronic pain at the higher levels I was all about trying many different medications and was allergic to all of them. I was told that the pain medication only helps 20% so therein lies our menu of things we must do to keep functional. It is so great to see everyone is dong some of the natural and spiritual things that really help. I also add lavender and eucalyptus essential oils in bath with the Epson Salt. I just heard that Himalayan salt helps with migraine headaches - just a little on your tongue. I have yet to try this. Love and Light
