Lately I have had this strange sensation where my muscles are in such pain that it feels like they are pulsating. The bottom of my feet the other night felt like they where on fire and pulsing. I also get the same sensations in my thigh muscles. Worries me and I was just wondering if this symptom is common in fibro?

Members overwhelmingly confirmed that pulsating, twitching, and burning sensations in muscles are common fibromyalgia symptoms, with many describing similar experiences in their feet, thighs, and arms that feel like spasms or micro-seizures. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped, including adding extra padding or new soles to shoes, using herbal-infused oils for muscle relief, taking muscle relaxers like Flexeril to reduce spasms and improve sleep, and monitoring blood pressure during pain flares. A recurring theme was the connection between stress and worsening symptoms, as well as the frustration of living with muscles that feel solid, unable to relax, and trapped in cycles of tension and pain.

It definitely is I get it in my thighs and upper and lower arm muscles just seen a spcialist who told me this is very common. When it happens to me its like my muscles are in spasm and burning and I cannot relax them at all and muscles are solid to touch I get the pulsating feeling as the spasms begin to relax.

Oh yes. How is your bp? I learned early on to check my vitals as my pain fluctuated but never left. It's amazing the things you notice that had never been an issue before. Herbally Infused oils rubbed into the muscle do a lot of good. Feel better soon😃

Yes I have this too! My doctor told me it is a from not getting enought REM sleep in fibro. I was on a muscle relaxer called flexirol for two months and it stopped the spasms and helped me sleep! But i had to stop taking it because of nausea.
