I have pain in my legs for a couple months, then my arms and hands for a while then my back. My pain is at a 9 at times but can go from 4 to 8 back to 4 and stay anywhere from a few minutes to hours. My pain moves, is this an experience come to anyone else?

Members confirmed that pain moving between body parts is a hallmark of fibromyalgia, with many describing cycles lasting weeks or months where pain shifts from legs to arms, back, shoulders, or becomes full-body during flares. Several members shared helpful strategies including ice packs, heating pads, Epsom salt baths, gentle stretching, physical therapy, staying active to prevent stiffness, and journaling pain patterns to share with doctors. A recurring theme was the importance of finding what works for your body, taking one day at a time, and balancing rest with movement since too much inactivity can worsen symptoms.

Yes, is the traveling pain!!! Is very common characteristic of fibromyalgia. I had a pain in my left shoulder for over a year multiple cortisone injections about a month ago it disappeared without a trace. I have to say that now the pain is under control but it has taken the rheumatologist at least four years to get to the exact dose of the medicines. Take one day at a time and keep track of where and how long the pain. Take care and gentle hugs.

Don't get me wrong, I have quick come and go pains but like right now it's my back and it's been awful for a little over a month now. My arms and hands lasted a few months.
It's those sharp pains that my best description would be someone with a voodoo doll of me and a needle. Please don't think I really believe in such but it is the best way I know to describe.

Most definitely. However, mine doesn't last for hours. Mine stays much longer. I don't have quick flares. Don't know which is worse.

Yes the pain moves around. It is such a relief when a pain area finally relaxes and stops.
