I have bad dry skin. What is a good moisturizer or lotion that doesn't make you feel greasy or make the skin just feel "yuck", for lack of a better word? I can't find anything that gives heavy moisture. Everything is like putting plain water on it. No effect at all. :(

Members enthusiastically shared their favorite remedies for severely dry skin that needs heavy moisture without feeling greasy, with the most frequently recommended products being Eucerin (praised for absorbing quickly while providing long-lasting hydration), coconut oil or coconut oil-based creams, and body butters from brands like The Body Shop and Soap & Glory. Several members offered creative solutions including DIY mixtures of shea butter, coconut oil, vitamin E, and beeswax, while others suggested specific products like Neutrogena's concentrated hand cream, CeraVe, Gold Bond with CoQ10, and applying Vaseline with socks overnight for severely dry feet. A recurring theme was the need to move beyond typical lotions toward thicker, more concentrated formulas, with members validating the original poster's frustration that many products feel like water and acknowledging that finding the right solution often requires trial and personal experimentation.

I use refined coconut oil it's greasy at first but is absorbed quickly into the skin.

I also like Eucerin. It absorbs fast and lasts for a long time. I use vaseline at night on my feet with light weight socks on. My feet often burn because of dry skin. Sometimes I use Cerave too.

Eucerin is one of the best lotions especially during the winter , you can feel your skin drinking in the moisture.

Eucerin.Dermatologist recommended it. It's thick, sells at Wal-Mart and we love it.
