Members confirmed widespread experience with thumb and finger locking, describing painful sensations including joints popping, electric shock feelings, and fingers bending back or dislocating, often attributed to fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, or trigger thumb. Several members shared practical relief strategies such as massaging the affected area, keeping hands warm, and seeking medical evaluation, with some noting that cortisone injections or surgery successfully resolved their trigger thumb symptoms. A recurring theme was the comfort of knowing they weren't alone in these frightening hand symptoms and the importance of consulting a doctor when locking becomes frequent or severe.
