Members deeply related to the experience of debilitating muscle weakness and pain that feels like muscles are tearing from bones, affirming this as a common and frustrating part of living with fibromyalgia. Several members emphasized the importance of checking vitamin D levels and shared practical strategies including taking vitamin D supplements, using turmeric or ibuprofen for inflammation, soaking in warm Epsom salt baths, gentle exercise like walking or pool movement, and discussing medications like Cymbalta with a doctor. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of unpredictable weakness and pain that moves throughout the body, with many expressing the wish to escape their own skin while encouraging each other to keep going and take care of themselves.

I have, muscle weakness in my legs a lot. There are days when I think if I could just take them off for awhile I would get some relief. Fibro just racks so much havoc.

I was on vitamin D but my prescription is out. I need to have it checked again.

You should get your vitamin D level checked! Mines was very low. Also the vitamin tumeric or the spice tumeric helps! Ibuprofen helps with inflammation. You can also make you a warm bath with epsom salt or rubbing alcohol. Also you may want to ask your doctor for cymbalta or another medication to treat fibromyalgia.
