Alexis...I rub them on my feet and different points that are for different pains. I have my husband rub it down my spine and on areas that hurt to work the muscles. I diffuse lots of oils too. I put it in my bath, I carry some in small bottles to put a drop on my hands so I can inhale the scent from them and my husband just got me a diffuser necklace for Christmas. I have moved to using them to clean as well. I have found for me, the more ways I use them....the less unbearable days I have.
Sorry answered before I finished thought. Only wanted to change sentence structure that if on long acting NSAIDs ( mobicox, naproxen, indocid etc) cannot take Advil, Motrin, as all are Ibuprofen ( oral NSAID) not sure about aspirin if NSAID for breakthrough pain relief.voltaren gel ok as though it's a NSAID little % of drug in OTC versions and little absorbed into skin. However if ordered by doc and compound made by pharmacist I would ask as NSAID higher concentration then.
@A MyFibroTeam Member has the doc told you to watch the nsaids and tylenol taking so much? voltaren gel is an nsaid too so you are getting alot of that looks like most of the time, and its so hard on the kidneys and your liver I'd ask your doc about it.
I'm Canadian so med names may differ but cymbalta was on 120 but good for muscle pain but not depression, so reduced to 60mg, now have muscular pain arms and thighs mostly despite other pain meds. I'm on lyrica 150 twice a day, tridural 300 mg daily ( long acting version of tramacet), mobicox 15 mg daily ( NSAID), cymbalta 60 mg as mentioned and tylenol#3's 4 x day as needed. I also use voltaren gel, TENS machine, Epsom salts in bath water and heating pad. I find magnesium helps with muscle pain, omega 3 helps and off topic that Tumeric 1/2 tsp in food or water daily helps with memory
