Does anyone else dread taking a shower? By the time I'm done I have to rest before even thinking of the chore of extremely thick hair.
I have a shower stool so that I can sit while I shower. I find that it does relieve some of the strain. I also drink cold water as soon as I get out. For some reason, I feel dehydrated after a shower.
I have recently switched my shower routine and it seems to be working for me. I take a bath at night and soak for as long as I can. Then take a quick shower to wash my hair. It IS exhausting, but since it's right before bed I can just go to sleep. In the morning I have been using "dry shampoo" spray to fix my hair. I used to dread the shower process but this small change has helped a lot!
I know u r use to washing your hair often but it really is not good for it. I wash mine once a week or so. Mine is down to below my bottom and straight.
I dread showering it takes up so much energy my muscle hurt more after and my body seems to swell in there. Then the thought of finding the energy to get dress snd do my hair . Oh gosh !!! I have limited to washing my hair every other day which helps . But still is exhausting. Next is to work on putting my make up on evetyday
I hate it. I have a bench that fits over the edge of the tub. When my parents built the suite on the side of the house for me they put a handicapped shower. no rim flat that drains to the center. I still use a shower chair that I sit on to wash my hair(not thick). I use the bench I used in the tub to sit on when I get out of the shower because I am so tired I have to sit or fall.
