Members shared diverse strategies for losing weight while managing fibromyalgia and related conditions, with the most common approaches being high-protein low-carb diets (like Atkins or carb cycling), portion control, drinking plenty of water, and using tracking apps like MyFitnessPal. Several members emphasized that exercise remains challenging due to pain and mobility issues, with many finding success through gentle activities like pool workouts, light walking, or low-impact exercise videos, while others rely primarily on dietary changes when movement isn't possible. A recurring theme was the frustration of medication-related weight gain and the reality that progress requires patience, self-compassion, and finding what works for your individual body and limitations.

It's been really difficult for me as I'm sure all of us bc we are not very active.
Their is a co called ITWORKS.... ( itworks.com) They sell a variety of products that I actually takes. For weight loss / management ULTIMATE THERMOFIT and FAT FIGHTERS.

To help manage my energy I use GREENS and take RELIEF and ITS VITAL. The last two products have magnesium in them which ppl like us typically lack and need supplemented.

There's one more thing I use to help with my weight ... Their called OFFICIAL DIET DROPS that I buy off of AMAZON. There are some distributors out there, too.

I started with just the THERMOFIT AND FAT FIGHTERS ( there are a lot of distributors around for ITWORKS... They can help you with products and adjust if needed. For instance when I started taking the GREENS it didn't seem to help. My dustb. suggested using two scoops instead of one and it really made a diff.

I have lost 30 lbs and continue to lose a little each week. Drink a lot of water with the product... As we are supposed to anyway. If I were able to be more active the weight would come off faster of course. But that's part of the fibromyalgia beast though, isn't it?

Hope that helps.

I personally don't believe in diets I believe it should be eating a well balanced diet everyday. Breakfast is a must but just instead of reaching for chocolate bar try a banana still has sugar but the energy will be longer lasting. Exercise is difficult when we are hurting so much. I personally find walking a struggle!!! I used to do speed ice skating and to get to a place in my life where I need a wheelchair to go any distance is a downer. Drink plenty of water I was told that drinking just boiled water in the morning with squeezed fresh lemon helps clear the toxins and kick starts your metabolism.....just do the best you can xxx

I have found a good program that works for me. Myfitnesspal.com is great. You can put all the foods you eat, to keep up with your calories. Plus you can put your exercises, to keep up with that. It's a wonderful app for logging in your food and exercise data. You can even make friends with people who can offer support and encouragement.

Weight watchers worked great for me. I did that and walked 30 minutes everyday, but the whole walking thing isn't as easy as it used to be, so my physical therapist told me to use the bikes at the gym. I lost 20 pounds with weight watchers though.
