Members offered enthusiastic suggestions for monetizing art from home, with Etsy being the most frequently mentioned platform despite the original poster having tried it without success. Several members recommended expanding beyond traditional art sales to include photography services (starting with family and children's portraits), selling at craft fairs and boutiques, trying consignment arrangements, or renting booth space at flea markets. Alternative ideas included learning new remote-friendly skills like medical billing or coding, and exploring platforms like Artfinder for selling original artwork worldwide.

I read your profile and seen that you also do photography. This could be your bread and butter. Start by doing some pics of your own kids and when others see how great they turn out they will ask how much would you charge to do their kids and/or family. You can take the pics, edit them, and give them a disk so they can print them out themselves.

Etsy, craft fairs, check with some boutiques about selling some of your pieces to or see if they do consignment, you can always try craigslist or offer up too. You could even rent a small booth at a flea market if you have any out where you live.

I agree with Linda. Etsy is a wonderful place to find unique pieces of art and such! Best of luck!! :)
