Members shared their experiences with body jerks, describing how their entire bodies, faces, and legs jerk both while awake and asleep, sometimes waking themselves and their partners with the intensity of the movements. Several members mentioned medications like ReQuip and Mirapex that provide some relief but do not fully stop the jerking, along with practical strategies like hot baths to help manage symptoms and waiting for medications to take effect. A recurring theme was the importance of finding a doctor who takes these symptoms seriously rather than dismissing them as subconscious, with members offering strong encouragement to seek second opinions and sharing solidarity over the pain and frustration of uncontrollable movements.

I know people with restless leg syndrome and they swear by Gatorade, they drink a bottle or two during the day and it seems to help. The sugar free kind is okay too.

Yes! I take ReQuip for restless legs yet my entire body still jerks while asleep. I have literally jerked myself awake. My husband too. He even went to doc with me to tell her just how bad it is...
ReQuip is by prescription only & helps some but I still jerk
