Members responded to concerns about persistent left arm pain by sharing their own experiences with arm and shoulder aches, stiffness, and radiating pain that many attributed to fibromyalgia, often originating from neck tension or muscle knots in the dominant arm. Several members emphasized the critical importance of ruling out heart-related issues when experiencing left arm pain, urging the original poster to seek medical evaluation for symptoms like chest tightness or jaw pain before attributing everything to fibro. A recurring theme was the variety of relief strategies members have tried, including physical therapy, steroid injections, vitamin D and magnesium supplements, heating pads, compression wrapping, and alternative options like the Chinese herb Corydalis, though results varied widely from person to person.

I've been seeing Rheumetologist in Boston since 1997 for Fibromyalgia and Mitrochondrial Myopathy which are both very severe pain. He shared with me this Chinese herb that the Doctors are talking about called Corydalis you take 1000 mg.capsules for pain (1) in am (1) in pm you purchase it on Amazon.com
for around $24.00 A month. It takes a couple days to work, If it doesn't work right away, keep taking it. For some people it works for some it dosen't. I'm going to purchase mine at the beginning of the months,i'll tell you what I think - Hugs -Sandra

I agree with the others that you need to take pain radiating down your left arm seriously! I know we tend to write off everything as just another fibro symptom but it's important to check on new symptoms and make sure fibro isn't overshadowing a serious new problem!
