My ears have been ringing for six months, along with dizziness. Doc thinks it is all part of fibro, but I'm not sure. Sometimes I walk like I'm drunk or something, any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. Blessings for all of you.

Members responded to someone experiencing persistent ear ringing and dizziness by urging them to rule out other causes beyond fibromyalgia, including vestibular migraines, vertigo from inner ear crystals, medication side effects, high blood pressure, and serotonin syndrome. Several members shared remedies they've tried, such as essential oils applied topically around the ear, lipoflavonoid supplements, and dietary changes for histamine intolerance, though experiences with relief varied widely. A recurring theme was the frustration of dismissive doctors and the importance of self-advocacy, with many encouraging the individual to keep pushing for answers through specialists and thorough medication reviews.

I have developed high blood pressure along with the fibro. Need to get that checked first. Second, it could be a result of some of the medication being taken. Check all side effects of everything you are taking to make sure dizziness or loss of coordination is not a possible side effect. Also, I have fallen several times and hit my head which displaced some "crystals" on the hairs of my inner ear which caused me vertigo.

I developed Serotonin syndrome. Serotonin syndrome can occur if you are taking medications, particularly antidepressants, that affect the body's level of serotonin. Symptoms usually occur within several hours of taking a new drug or increasing the dose of a drug you're already taking. Signs and symptoms include:
•Agitation or restlessness
•Confusion
•Rapid heart rate and high blood pressure
•Dilated pupils
•Loss of muscle coordination or twitching muscles
•Muscle rigidity
•Heavy sweating
•Diarrhea
•Headache
•Shivering
•Goose bumps
You can get high blood pressure from it and loss of body coordination. (Ringing in ears, dizziness) Check all the above to make sure none of this is going on with you.

I get flares of severe ringing in my ears . Feels like I'm listening to the world under water. Also pain and dizzy. I've been to doctors and there is nothing wrong, just me. I have been trying a supplement called Lipoflavonoids. It's some what helpful, but you get desperate, I don't go to the doctors anymore, waste of energy and money.

Just a note - since I am not sure what you have ever been given as far as medication is concerned, but perhaps you might want to look up gentamicin autotoxicity. It is what I have along with fb. It has nothing to do with getting fb or a part of fb but a horrible life changing side effect (?) of some drug.
