Should MS Centres Also Help Other Chronic Pain Conditions
I think MS Centres' should also help those who have other chronic pain conditions about 3 Miles from my house there is an MS Centre that gives physio and hydrotherapy plus yoga to help people keep moving they provide this free 7 days a week but only for those with MS I think people with fibromyalgia, CFS and other chronic pain conditions should be able to get this via NHS too I have been trawling the net and you can not get these things free even though it is something that we need. I pay a chiropractor. It isn't cheap, though.
Does you hospital have a hydro pool? If so you might be able to go there though physio
Im getting accupunture from my physio, also been told to go swimming and have a sauna as this will help with fibro
@A MyFibroTeam Member you definitely should be able to get some treatments via the NHS - this has been offered to me after my diagnosis, physio and then maybe hydrotherapy? And a pain management group? They are part of hospitals though, not separate centres.I'd say go to your Doctor and speak to them and they can trigger some referrals for you?
I also believe Ms and fibromyalgia are twins, not identical but nonetheless it should be met by professionals in the same way.
