Members shared mixed experiences with tramadol for fibromyalgia pain, with most finding it helpful at taking the edge off their symptoms, though dosages varied widely from 50mg once daily to 100mg three times daily. Several members confirmed experiencing heaviness or numbness in the calves, reassuring the original poster that this side effect does occur, while others noted different reactions like difficulty sleeping if taken too late or no drowsiness at all. A recurring theme was the medication's temporary relief that slowly wears off, the frustration of needing higher doses over time to maintain effectiveness, and one member's distressing experience of having their dosage suddenly reduced without discussion by a new doctor.

It doesn't make me drowsy at all. In fact if I take my last one too late I have a hard time getting to sleep.

I take it 4 times a day as it doesn't affect my ability to work or be totally functional... Worth giving it a try

I take 3 Tramadol per day. It just takes the edge off a little bit, but I can feel when it wears off.
