Hip Pain And Arm /hand Numb

A MyFibroTeam Member

lately I've had a lot of serious hip pain where it's in my lower back hip and in the joint. I don't do excessive exercise because I'm scared that my body just simply won't take it. I have also had numbness in my hand, the pain starts in my shoulder travels down my arm into my hand and just gets increasingly worse the further down my arm and once it reaches my hand, my hands is numb. I also have the burning sensation on different parts of my body. Does anyone else have these issues and if so what helps alleviate them?

I also have pain and tingling that starts in my shoulder and goes down my arm into my hand. I've had an MRI on my neck that ruled out nerve damage. Saw a terrible neurologist who told me I didn't have carpal tunnel either. In the past year, my legs and feet have also started to tingle.

Thank you so much everyone for the help, ice and heat and anti inflammatory meds are helping. I go to see my primary care physician on Friday.

I have all that plus pain in my knees and the only thing that gives me relief is massaging with aspercream.

I've found stretching works best. Some beginner yoga has done wonders. If the finds nothing wrong....remember that fibro is NOT degenerative. The pain is not a signal that something is wrong....not like walking on a broken leg....so with excercises..you may be in excruciating pain, but your not making it worse. Swimming is great too

I have that, and I have the itching all over my body. It starts on my ankles, then moves up my legs, to my body - arms and hands, its unbearable !! I have to sit it out and deal with it - if anyone out there has any ideas I would love to know !! I feel like I want to scratch my skin away !!

I have a similar problem right now. They haven't looked at my neck yet for a pinched nerve, but I don't think that's my issue. Heat seems to help me.

You may need an mri scan of your spine if not heat and rest will help or swimming can help to ease pain and a bit of exercise always helps
