I get terrible burning sensation in my muscles, sharp shooting pains up my legs and a sensations like an insect is crawling on my skin on my legs and arms. I am also diabetic so just wondering if this is a common fibro problem or if its from the diabetes? My blood sugars are well controlled and have been for all my tests over the past 5 years. I had these issues and since starting gabapentin, the burning and the feeling like there's a hair or a bug on my skin has all but gone away. I still have pain, but it's better
it's the Fibro sorry to say. i have the same sensations and I am not diabetic.
I dread winter the pain get worse it makes me more depressed
Thanks again everyone for all your answers. I am so grateful to have found this group as its a place we can connect and understand each other. Most people don't get understand because no one can see your symptoms. I try not to complain around people especially at work as no one wants to listen to a chronic complainer but oh sometimes it just helps to vent>
FMS is a problem that affects neuro paths. That would be the electrical feelings your getting. It is a neuropathy. I experience these as well, but also have pinch root nerves in the lumbar and cervical area's which do the same thing. Seems many of us are agreeing with the same answer. No diabetes for me though. I do have chronic OA. Good wishes
