I am still working full time. I struggle with fibro all the time. My concentration is horrible and this place stresses me out. I have 10 more years left and I will have my years + Service to retire. I hope I can make it that long.
Some places within jobs do job share. One person would work half time and another person would work the rest of the week. I struggle going to work with the unknown of how I will feel when I wake up. I'm sore and so tired but I push through. I hope you find something. Hugs and prayers
Hi, Morehope, I totally agree. I have been at home a year and a half now and was contacted to work again. Have to give them my answer by next week to work in the new year. Scared to get back on the wagon. Will pray about it, told them will only do temporary work, was promised no extra duties, like management and tellers work. Offered work for 3 months, not to bad. Will think about it, health only starting to be good now, loss half of the weight that I picked up when got sick.
Sorry to hear of your struggles, trying to find a balance is difficult and especially so when you have chronic pain. Have you considered being a teachers assistant? In Canada we have positions in schools where people are hired to assist children who need additional help in school. So you sit with the child and help them with assignments but you also get up and move around so there is a combination of activity that might give you the balance you need. Also you are finished work by 3:30 p.m. so that would give you time for an afternoon rest.
Following. I'm currently unemployed since March after working 20 years in finance & administration. It can be a stressful environment and accuracy is a must! I don't feel comfortable selling myself as someone who can work under pressure right now!
